(SIREN 106 224 702). We take privacy seriously — especially because Picopop is
enjoyed by families and children. This policy explains what data is processed by
this website and by the Picopop mobile application.
1. This website and our "bonus book" pages
Browsing the website requires no account.
Advertising measurement (Meta pixel). Our free-coloring-page
pages (picopop.app/free-dinosaur and its thank-you
page) use the Meta pixel, a small script provided by Meta Platforms, to measure
how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work: it tells Meta that the page was
viewed and that a sign-up was completed, together with technical data such as
your IP address and browser identifiers. It is not used on the rest of this
website and never in the Picopop app. Visitors in the United States: the pixel
is active by default and you can turn it off at any time. Visitors elsewhere:
the pixel only loads if you click "Accept" on the banner. We also honor the
Global Privacy Control signal of your browser.
You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.
Bonus book (optional). If you choose to
request a printable bonus coloring book, you provide us — on a dedicated page and
through a deliberate action by an adult — your first name and email
address. With your consent, we use them to send you that
book and, where applicable, Picopop news (these emails are handled through our
email provider, acting on our behalf). You can unsubscribe at any
time (unsubscribe link in every email) and request deletion of your data
at hello@picopop.app.
Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) may process technical request data
(such as IP addresses) strictly for the purpose of serving and securing the
website.
2. The Picopop application
No account. The app can be used without creating any account
and without providing any name, email address or other identifying information.
Camera. The camera is used on your device to scan QR codes
printed in our books and to photograph your colored drawings. Photos of
drawings stay on your device: they are not uploaded or stored by
Picopop. They are used only, locally, to generate the animation.
Image processing (some animations). For a few animations, the
drawing image is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to an image-processing
service (automatic retouching) that processes it in memory and
does not retain it.
Created videos. The short animated videos you generate are
stored locally on the device; they are only shared if you choose
to do so (via the system share sheet).
No advertising, no tracking. The app contains no ads, no
third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell or share personal data.
Anonymous usage counts (app 1.1 and later). To know how many
devices use the app and which coloring pages are scanned or shared, the app sends
us a few anonymous events: a random installation code generated on your device
(not linked to you, your account, your email or any advertising identifier), the
type of event (app opened for the first time, book added, page scanned, video
shared), the book or page concerned, the platform (iOS/Android), the app version,
the interface language and the date. No photo, no scan, no location and no
contact details are ever included. These counts are kept for 24 months at most and
are only used to improve Picopop. Deleting the app deletes the installation code,
so no future event can be linked to the previous ones.
Local storage. Downloaded books and preferences (such as
language) are stored locally on the device so the app works offline.
External links. The app may offer links to third-party sites
(for example Amazon to buy our books, or our "bonus book" pages). Those sites have
their own privacy policies.
3. Children's privacy
Picopop is designed to be used by children together with their parents. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children. Scanned drawings are not
linked to any identity. If you believe personal data concerning a child has been
transmitted to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
4. Data retention and deletion
Picopop does not retain any drawing photo: images stay on your
device. The image-processing service mentioned above handles images in
memory, without storing them. The videos you create are kept locally on
your device and can be deleted at any time. For any request, contact us at the
address below.
5. Your rights
In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the
right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, and the right to lodge a
complaint with the French supervisory authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).
